I forgot to mention, we have an AWESOME shop near us called Taj the Grocer. It sells MOUNTAIN JEW DEW and loads and loads of dairy-free cheeses, yoghurts and milks. It has loads of different meat-free products, as well, which will make feeding all our veggie friends much easier.

It'll also mean I can go back to a stricter ethivore diet as soon as possible as well.

They have a meat/deli counter as well, and they're an organic company - that's the entire point of the store - so you know it would be from a decent source.

Seriously EPIC win.

They do all the kind of exciting ingredients I used to cook with as well... I can't wait until I have a decent job so I can spend a shit ton of money on really extravagant ingredients.

Nom nom nom.

Today I went shopping with the adorable [livejournal.com profile] scoobygang63 and proved that my waist and my boobs and my arse DO NOT BELONG ON THE SAME PERSON.

Maybe my boobs and my arse, but not my waist. Because 44-32-48 IS NOT SHOPPABLE. When I put on a waist belt over my t-shirt in Primark, two chavvy girls' eyes nearly fell out. It looked insane. I looked like someone had stuck a bike pump up my arse and inflated me, like a cartoon.

See, I have an interview for my boss's job on Monday, with what sounds like a middle-aged man who knows I'm bisexual (equal opportunities forms, oh yay) but has never met me, and said he can't wait to meet me. EXPLOITEXPLOITEXLOIT. So, I have a grey pencil shirt, a grey and white striped, slightly-over-sized boy-shape shirt, over a black tight tee, and with black heels. I just tried it on with the Magic Pants. HOSHIT. Even I would do me.

I spent almost £40 in Primark for which I got:

An enormous handbag in grey, black and reddish pink - £6
Two pairs of flannel pyjamas in shades of blue - £8
Blue and yellow 'California Dreams' retro t-shirt - £4 (reminds me of the Rehab Summer Camp one I was wearing at the time)
A green and white vest top - £2
5 pairs of stripey socks - £4
2 pairs of tube socks - £2
Pants: 2x Space Invaders, 1x Rubiks Cube, 1x Made in the 80s, 1x Magic Fat Bird pants.

I've a feeling there was something else but I can't remember what it was. (Oh - a PVC make up bag)

All in all, a good day. I spent less than £100 on clothes and got quite a bit, plus a good outfit for the interview.

I really hope I get this job.

Kitty is the most awesome person ever.

She bought me A DRESS. A whole dress. ♥

Today I have mostly bought:

In Primark:
  • new jeans - which are a touch too tight (£10);
  • a rainbow striped hoodie - which is also a bit too tight in the boob area, but the next size up was too big (£6);
  • four new vest tops (£2 and £1);
  • starry, rainbow pyjamas (£3 for vest and shorts, plus £4 for trousers);
  • a new handbag for nights out (£2.50);
  • two pairs of fishnets (£3);
  • white striped poloshirt (£5);
  • amazing wedges in a sixties style (£15);

    In Lush:
  • bath bubble bomb things (no idea how much they cost);
  • face scrub (£9.95 for a big tub);
  • three bubblegum soaps (£5.95);
  • a bunch of free samples which I obviously did not pay for.

    In Bravissimo:
  • black lacy plunge bra O_O (£29)
  • adorable natural/see through (ohyarly) bra with turquoise lace (£22);

    In Dorothy Perkins:
  • a grey t-shirt with SUNSHINE on it in yellow, because it's someone's fandom nickname (£8);

    Kitty bought me:
  • one black sixties-style dress with enormous blue and white flowers on because she is AWESOME.

    And... that's really quite a lot, isn't it? I guess I'm pretty much set for Chicago, now. Just need a suitcase.

    I just went shopping! Yay! for pay arriving in my account two days early!

    I bought:

  • a pair of shoes for tomorrow, but which will be fine for work as well;
  • a cropped cardigan with elbow-length sleeves which covers the worst of my scars, makes my boobs look like two bowling balls in a sock and my waist stupidly small. Yay!
  • essential make up that I was running out of (eyeliner, green eyeshadow, foundation);
  • a Christmas present each for Jasmine and Saffron, the young cousins - more to follow because I can't help spoiling them;
  • some cosmic blue (black with blue tints) hair dye because I'm bored with dark brown;
  • a metallic pink digital camera, because I broke the last one and I want to take pictures tomorrow.

    All this for under £120. I win at shopping!

    I really like the outfit I have for tomorrow, as well - so that's good. It's a bit 1940s, with a hint of 1920s.

    I think I'll go and dye my hair, now. :D

    Jason and I went shopping, today. He had a casting in town and I had nothing better to be, so I met him in HMV Oxford Street, and that was the start of a heady descent into spending way too much money. But on cheap stuff.

    The collection:

    CDs:
    Greatest Hits: Fleetwood Mac (£5)
    Greatest Hits: Thin Lizzy - double album (£13)

    DVDs:
    Saving Private Ryan
    Philadelphia (one of my all-time favourite movies, from which my all-time favourite song comes)
    Brokeback Mountain
    Romeo+Juliet
    Catch-22
    (total 5 for £30 with cunning Virgin Addict discount= 5:£20.00)

    Food:
    Pizza Hut - my shout.
    (total food= £16.02 - left a £20.00)

    Social:
    Coffee with (~£4.00)
    Psychic Development (£7.50)

    ___

    JJ thoroughly impressed me by walking into Virgin and immediately picking up Brokeback Mountain. And buying it. He's straight. And just went to a casting for 'burly, hairy men' to play Vikings. And he unashamedly walked into Virgin and picked up The Gay Cowboy Movie.

    Seriously proud of him for that. He didn't even think anything of it until I told him he was awesome.

    However, I am now left with the following list of DVDs I've bought recently and not watched (or even unwrapped)

    1. Dead Poets Society
    2. Office Space
    3. Stand By Me
    4. Romeo+Juliet
    5. Catch-22
    6. Brokeback Mountain
    7. Saving Private Ryan
    8. Philadelphia
    9. Memphis Belle
    10. Quadrophenia
    11. A Clockwork Orange
    12. The Meaning of Life
    13. Stargate: SG-1 (season three)

    Dammit.

    I then went back to Treadwell's, having already introduced Jason to its wonders, and bumped into Ella - so we went for coffee and came back in time to chat with the Rebeccas before they went off for a night out and I went downstairs to hang out with my gay psychic friends. Felt much more comfortable, this week. The guys from last week feel more like friends now, and it was weird to have people intruding in the group as newbies. It was an enormous group tonight - and as it's supposed to be a closed circle something will have to be done, as that many people just doesn't work. Ian's talking about splitting it up. Possibly so some of us end up in Team A. Not sure if I'll like that.

    Either way - I get a really good feeling about him, he's really nice and down to Earth and seems to have the same view of being psychic that I do. He's very much into the paranormal side, rather than what he calls 'Aunt Bessie' - which is the old ladies in strings of pearls standing on stage getting messages in church. It's cool. I'm glad I discovered the group.
